Tax Breaks for 2012 The Hire Act extends enhanced Section 179 deductions as a tax incentive for businesses to invest in new equipment.
Under Section 179, businesses spending less than $560,000 a year on qualified equipment may write off up to $139,000 in 2012 and 50% Bonus Depreciation on qualified equipment acquired and placed in service through December 31, 2012.
