Bowl & Lid Assembly System

This system consisted of two dual-lane reciprocating vacuum placers and a stainless steel indexing platen conveyor. The placers automatically placed bowls onto the system’s flighted indexing platen conveyor, cycled the bowls through a hand load station, and then completed the process by placing lids onto the loaded bowls and discharging them to a take-away conveyor

Required speeds for this line were 20 cycles per minute for a total of 40 placements per minute to allow for hand loading of the product.

While the reciprocating placers are one of our standard product lines, this was a custom designed system due to the requirements for a product specific, platened conveyor and unique mechanisms for placement and snapping the lid to the bowl. It is another example of our ability to understand the customer’s needs and design, manufacture, and complete a custom system “on time”.
