Automatic Can Lidding System

This reciprocating lid placing system picks round plastic lids and presses them onto cans at speeds of 25 cans per minute. It utilizes the newly developed 36” powered roller rod magazine to feed the lids; product which previously could not be run in a traditional gravity fed magazine. A photo eye signals the placer to pick a lid from the magazine and places it into a chute. A starwheel meters the can under the chute and as it releases the can, the lid is pulled from the chute. The can travels under the lid roller system which presses the lid onto the can. This lidding machine is ideal for automating the placement of plastic lids onto cylindrical cans of product for the food, pharmaceutical, chemical or other industries.
